Australia Visa Thailand - Why use a migration agent?

The Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) says on its web-site that a person does ‘… not need to use a migration agent to apply for any visa.’ And, ‘if you choose to use a migration agent, you should use a registered migration agent.’

You can make a visa application without the use of a migration agent, but we think you should think about the following reasons why you should use a registered migration agent.

The visa application process may seem simple but they are very complex. The Australian immigration system is subject to constant change.

Many visa applicants are confused by the red tape associated with completing paperwork and confusion regarding the conditions and requirements which must be fulfilled by each applicant.

This often results in incomplete or even the wrong visa applications being submitted with the result being delays and often, refusal of visas.

We are continually updated on the latest changes to the immigration laws .
The migration procedures are constantly changing as well as the way the Department of Immigration and Australian Embassy uses the procedures in the assessment of a visa application.

The procedures of other government and non-government organizations that are involved in some visa applications are also complex and always changing.

Your application will be managed by a competent professional which enhances the chance of a successful outcome at the application stage, or if necessary on appeal to a tribunal or court.

We shall develop a plan for your application and keep you informed throughout the process.

A lot of clients see us after an application has been refused.  This has cost them time and money; and in some cases it is harder to correct the damage already done.  We can help, but it is always better to get it right the first time!

No competent migration agent will say they can guarantee success, but by using a migration agent a person is using the services of someone who is familiar with the migration law and procedures.  We think this provides better outcomes for visa applicants.

In Australia, it is illegal for a person to provide immigration advice if they are not registered.

In countries outside Australia, we do not recommend that a person use an unregistered agent to assist with applications for visas to Australia.

We believe that unregistered agents offer a poor service and do not understand the complex nature of the Australian immigration procedures and process.  Also, being unlicensed, they are not accountable to any Australian Government review.

Australian visa application fees are not refundable in any circumstances after a valid visa application has been lodged and accepted by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.

If you are not sure whether the person offering you immigration services is a registered migration agent, ask to see the Registered Migration Agent certificate.
